Guidelines for National Bibliographies in the Electronic Age, publicado pela IFLA (Working Group on Guidelines for National Bibliographies)

In the last ten years, the Bibliography Standing Committee (SC) has discussed how national bibliographies should respond to the growing significance of electronic media and, in particular, web publications. At the same time, the SC was aware that some national bibliographic agencies need guidance in establishing a modern national bibliography.

• Develop selection principles for incorporation of electronic resources within national
bibliographies
• Specify a data model and access points for electronic national bibliographies
• Specify the functionality of the electronic national bibliography

O documento consiste num conjunto de capítulos independentes, cada um tratando de um assunto distinto mas em que as orientações são tratadas como um todo. Constitui uma leitura útil para colocar em dia alguns conceitos, rever glossário e enquadramentos de outros normativos na área da biblioteconomia.
